A week ago the Black Ops 7 Season 06 patch notes said the VMP and select VMP attachments were unrestricted in Ranked Play, and left the word select doing all the work. On September 30 Treyarch published the list. Four attachments came off the restriction list: the Quorum Velocity Barrel, the Civet Barrel, the Gambol Light Barrel, and the Venerate Rubberized Grip. That is the whole competitive content of the block, and in the last three weeks of Black Ops 7 Ranked Play it is the part worth writing down.
Confirmed. The four attachment names come straight off the official Call of Duty Black Ops 7 Season 06 patch notes page, read in full this run, where the September 30 block now sits above the September 24 block and the launch notes. What Treyarch still has not published is the multiplayer weapon tuning it promised at launch, so treat the ruleset as settled and the weapon numbers as unfinished.
What the September 30 block says
- Three barrels and a grip. The Quorum Velocity Barrel, the Civet Barrel, the Gambol Light Barrel, and the Venerate Rubberized Grip are named as unrestricted for the VMP in Ranked Play.
- The gun was already legal. The VMP itself came off the restriction list in the September 24 block. This update only fills in which of its attachments came with it.
- Still no multiplayer weapon tuning. The block carries no multiplayer weapon number changes at all. The tuning Treyarch promised a short time after the launch of Season 06 has still not been published.
- Everything else is housekeeping. The rest of the block is stability fixes plus Zombies and Endgame bug fixes, none of which touch a competitive playlist.
Why Hardcore SnD cares
A restriction list is the closest thing Ranked Play has to a published competitive ruleset, and until this block the VMP entry was unusable. You cannot write an internal weapon agreement around the word select. Now you can, because the legal barrels are named, and on an SMG the barrel is the attachment that decides whether it wins a close site fight or loses a lane it should never have been holding.
- Barrels decide the role. A velocity barrel and a light barrel pull a submachine gun in opposite directions. Knowing which ones are legal tells you whether the VMP is an entry gun or a hold gun in Search and Destroy.
- Your scrim agreement is now writable. If your team bans or limits weapons internally, the VMP line can finally be specific instead of a placeholder.
- Three weeks is the whole window. Season 06 Ranked is a sprint. An attachment set published a week and a half in gets learned on your SR, not in a practice block.
- The grip matters more than it reads. A rubberized grip is a recoil and handling attachment. On a fast firing SMG used to breach a site, handling is the stat that shows up in the first half second of a duel.

What is not confirmed
The multiplayer weapon tuning is still missing. Treyarch has not given it a date, has not said whether it lands inside Season 06 at all, and has not said whether it rolls straight into Modern Warfare 4 instead. One other thing is genuinely unclear. The shared Black Ops 7 and Warzone Season 06 patch notes page carries its own September 30 block, and in it the TR51 Para's rate of fire drops from 625 rounds per minute to 333. That entry is not tagged with a mode, and it does not appear on the Black Ops 7 page at all, so whether it reaches Black Ops 7 multiplayer or stays inside Warzone is not stated anywhere official. Do not rebuild a loadout around it yet.
What would verify it
A multiplayer weapon section on the Black Ops 7 patch notes page carrying actual numbers is what would close the tuning question, and it is the same page to watch for either answer. For the TR51 Para, the test is whether its fire rate change turns up in a Black Ops 7 multiplayer weapons block or stays only on the Warzone page. Either would settle the scope in one line. Until then, build around the named VMP attachments, which are confirmed, and treat the rest of the Season 06 sandbox as still moving.
